Art Deco and Art Nouveau Jewelry:

While Diamonds and precious jewels still predominated Art Deco Jewelry between 1920's to the 1940's era (ie: between the two World Wars) it was the use of other materials which individualized the Style.

Using Plastics, Chrome and Steel the designs were stunningly different and somehow became 'In Your Face' by being so bold. During this time Platinum became a favored precious metal and showcased diamonds particularly well.
